WHO ARE YOU?
Hi! My name is Lydia, and I am a performer and songwriter based in London. I spend a lot of my days singing (surprise surprise) and spend the rest of my time playing DnD, performing with my local theatre company, and reading trashy fantasy romance novels (I say trashy in the best way).
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SINGING?
Ah since I was a wee young thing. I IDOLISED Taylor Swift when I was younger, it was a mild obsession. Taylor Swift would be played from my bedroom for hours on end, every album was completely memorised, and I dreamed of being just like her. Naturally, I grew up and my dreams and aspirations changed, but she was definitely a big influence in my early singing days. Following that, I moved on to idolise Lea Salonga and so the Musical Theatre obsession began. It's kinda all history from there! I went on to do theatre lessons and singing lessons, hoping to be just like them. To cut a long story short, I've been singing since I was around 8 years old with formal lessons from 12 years, but you're never too old to learn!

If you're interested in knowing about what formal training I have received, I started taking private singing lessons at 12 years old and proceeded to do a bunch of grades in Musical Theatre and pop singing. I went all the way up to my Grade 8, then beyond to take my ALCM Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance and Musical Theatre Teaching. I took these exams whilst I was training full time at D&B Academy of Performing Arts, where I continued my formal training and had the privilege to be taught by many different industry professionals.
CAN I USE YOUR SONG FOR A ANIMATIC/COVER/VIDEO?
Absolutely! Please feel free. I absolutely love when people use my music to get creative! All I ask is that you please tag me, paste the link to the original video in the description, and credit me so that others can find the song. As long as you're not simply reposting the song, then please go for it!

WILL YOU COLLABORATE ON A SONG WITH ME?
I'm always open to collaborating on songs and projects for others, but given the volume of requests I get and the need to keep my channel as a priority, I am not always able to collaborate with everyone that asks and quite often am unable to pick up these projects. When I have free time though I do try to help others out with their projects, so please contact me if you would like to collaborate by emailing me at lydiathebard@yahoo.com or filling out the contact form on my website.
WHERE DO YOU RECORD?
Nowhere fancy! I record in a tiny little side room filled with clothes to muffle any sound. I should really upgrade my soundproofing, but for the moment that does the job nicely!
WHERE CAN I FIND KARAOKE VERSIONS OF YOUR SONGS?
For songs that my lovely composer friends and I have created from scratch, for example, many of the Disney Princess as Villain songs, you'll need to take a look at my Patreon! Access to karaoke/instrumental tracks is offered as one of the benefits for supporting my channel, so if you'd like to access them you'll need to become a Patron! Simply check the description of the video to see if access has been made public by the composer. If it has been, then I'll have posted a link to it there!
WHERE DO YOU GET THE ARTWORK FOR YOU VIDEOS?
Most of the time, the artwork used in my videos is commissioned or is work I have found and asked for permission to use from the artist. I absolutely love working with artists. Its one of my favourite parts of making a video! WILL THERE BE MORE DISNEY PRINCESSES AS VILLAINS?
Certainly! I'm always working on new projects! Whether that be princesses or just turning characters into Villains. I feel like Tinkerbell would make a brilliant villain. Unless I've finished the list of princesses available, there's more to come!
